Tiefenbachklamm from Brandenberg to Kramsach
Exciting hike through the impressive Triftschlucht from Brandenberg to Kramsach
Besides the classic hike through the Tiefenbachklamm back and forth, there is also the option starting from Brandenberg village. Directly from the village center of Brandenberg, next to the church, the signposted path leads downwards towards the Tiefenbachklamm snack bar. After about 1 hour walking time, you have the first nice opportunity to take a break here. You can either refresh yourself at the snack bar or find a cozy spot in the meadow near the Ache and listen to the rushing water passing by.
From here begins the gorge section. You cross the Ache three times over impressive bridges and reach a high viewing platform. From there, the path leads through the forest near the Ache to the gorge exit. Another 1.5 hours walking time should be planned for this.
After the gorge path, turn left onto Aschauer Straße and walk along the forest above Aschauer Straße towards Kramsach. After about 3 km, you reach a bridge. Cross it and then immediately turn right towards the Mariathal basilica. A visit to the basilica is definitely recommended. Next to the bridge on the left is the sculpture park – also a special place worth a visit. From the basilica, walk about 1 km to the bus stop "Kramsach Mariathal junction" and from there take the bus back to Brandenberg village. From midday, there is about an hourly bus service here.
