Hike to the Wildsauhütte

If you would like to undertake a gentle circular hike including a stop for refreshments, this route is just what you were looking for. With a mere 400 m elevation, the hike leads through alpine pastures surrounding the Wildsauhütte in approx. 1,5 hours.
The circular hike starts at the Reitherkogelbahn top station and takes you in approx. 30 minutes to the Kerschbaumer Saddle (1,100 m above sea level) in Reith im Alpbachtal. From there you hike a further 2,5 km along a gentle incline directly to the Wildsauhütte near the Hechenblaikenalm. The trail is well signposted and therefore hard to miss. After a deserved break on the cosy terrace of the Wildsauhütte, the loop route leads back a short distance to the fork in the trail and then via Zulehen back to the Kerschbaumer Saddle and the top station.
