Bike and Hike Latschberg and Zireiner See
Beautiful circular route with summit experience and refreshment at the mountain lake Zireiner See
The blue eye of the Rofan, that is what the idyllic mountain lake Zireiner See in the Rofan is called. This mountain lake can be easily reached with a bike & hike route. A detour to the summit of Latschberg provides additional happy experiences on the mountain!
E-bike:
From Kramsach a beautiful bike path leads past "Kaltwasserl" and "Herrgottstein" steadily uphill towards Bayreuther Hütte. You leave the bike directly at the Bayreuther Hütte and hike from here on foot.
About 1.5 hours by e-bike for 8 km and 1030 meters of altitude.
Hike:
From Bayreuther Hütte the path continues along a trail to the Zireiner Almen. From here a path leads further uphill towards Zireiner See / Latschberg. At the first fork turn right towards Latschberg and enjoy the view from the summit (1944 m). The route then continues a bit further east. After a few meters, hike left down to the Zireiner See. A cooling off in the mountain lake is of course not to be missed. Continue the route westward and at the fork turn downwards again towards Zireiner Almen. From here take the ascent path back to Bayreuther Hütte and then by bike back to the valley.
About 2.5 hours for 7.5 km and 370 meters of altitude should be planned for the hike.

Refreshments are available at Bayreuther Hütte or in the valley at Liftstüberl Kramsach directly at the parking lot.
