Ready for a hike that will get not only your feet, but also your heart racing? Your adventure starts at the former valley station of the Sonnwendjoch cable car in Kramsach. Right from the beginning, you’ll be welcomed by the mysterious power spots “Kaltes Wasserl” and “Herrgottstein”. Your first break awaits at lunchtime at the picturesque Ludoialm, high above the rooftops of Münster in Tirol.

The afternoon promises an unforgettable nature experience as you reach Lake Zirein – the jewel of the Rofan Mountains. After tackling your first 1,300 metres of elevation gain and around 10 km, you can proudly call yourself a true mountain enthusiast.

But your adventure is far from over. The climb up to Rosskogel (1,900 m) rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views.

Next, the route takes you to the cosy Anderls Almhütte – perfect for a coffee and cake break. From there, the trail winds through the idyllic landscape of Wimm/Aschau to the Gasthof Gwercherwirt, where a delicious dinner will be served.

As dusk settles in, your night-time adventure begins along the Pinegg Gorge, accompanied by the sound of the Brandenberger Ache. You’ll continue past the Tiefenbachklamm snack station and through the charming village of Brandenberg, where a midnight snack will be waiting for you. Then it’s on over the Zimmerer-Kopf and up to Voldöpper Spitze. And there you can finally switch off your headlamp – because it’s time to watch the sunrise.

After your sunrise moment, the descent towards Kramsach village begins. And if you still can’t feel your calves by then, you’re definitely tough as nails.

So pack your hiking boots and get ready for the Alpbachtal 24h Hike!
