Demonstration: From Ore to Blade

Discover the secret of steel and the historical sword
production in the Tyrolean region.

In addition to the famous silver from Schwaz, the miners of the Middle Ages in Tyrol also extracted other ores, primarily iron.

The metal from particularly high-quality deposits was processed into swords of world-renowned standards.

In our station, we will illustrate the journey of iron from ore to finished sword.

Through tactile examples from the production chain and an explanatory video, this forgotten chapter of Tyrolean history will be brought back to life.
