Mountain Advent in Alpbachtal

On December 21, 2025, the Mountain Advent Alpbachtal between the mountain station of the Wiedersbergerhornbahn and the Hornboden inn will take place for the first time. From 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM, the area at the mountain station transforms into a deeply snow-covered, fairy-tale Advent world high above the valley. In the longest night of the year, you can expect a romantic winter atmosphere at 1,850 meters above sea level with Tyrolean Advent music and contemplative mood for young and old – easily accessible by the Wiedersbergerhornbahn.

Between crackling fire pits and snowy peaks, the sounds of Advent will be provided by musicians, carolers, a primary school class from Alpbach, alphorn players, and a traditional music group at various locations. Another highlight features the glowing LED walking acts that move across the grounds, as well as the photo station of the Alpbach mountain railways, where you can take a souvenir photo and download it for free.

There is also plenty of delicious food available: Fresh Kiachln from the Alpbach farmers as well as warm dishes and hot drinks from the Alpbach mountain rescue team, the Ski Club Alpbach, from Sport H&N and from the Alpbach crib association invite you to enjoy. The Kolberbauer adds to the offerings with regional specialties such as bacon, smoked sausages, and smoked salmon. In addition, other stalls showcase their handicrafts for browsing. In the Hornboden inn , you can retreat to a pleasant warmth, while mulled wine, punch, and hot chocolate at various stands create enjoyable moments in the wintry mountain backdrop.

For the little guests, there is a craft station in the warm area of the mountain station where they can get creative and make small souvenirs.

Not a large market crowd, but a decelerating gathering in the Tyrolean winter wonderland – warm, atmospheric, and authentic.
