Sculpture hiking trail - Alois Schild
The Kramsach artist Alois Schild created numerous works of art over the years, which can now be experienced in the form of a hiking trail in Kramsach. Alois Schild, born in 1960, still lives and works in his birthplace of Kramsach, surrounded by mountains. Every day, Alois faces the monumentality of his environment and the power of the elements, which convey a very special understanding of the world. This special relationship with nature plays a crucial role in his creative process: for over 40 years, the Tyrolean artist has been working with metal as a material and allows nature to complete his artworks through rusting.
The art hiking trail starts at the sculpture park, on the shore of the Brandenberger Ache, and leads you through 23 stations across the village center of Kramsach to the Reintalersee. Experience along this route 55 highlights of ironworking!
As a viewer, one can seek a connection to reality, or take flight on the wings of one’s own imagination into other worlds. Let yourself be inspired by the eccentric titles as well, which encourage an intensive engagement with the artworks.
