Schatzbergrunde 351
Physically demanding bike route past beautiful peaks.
Start along the MTB route 308 Thaleralm-Sieglbichlalm from Alpbach village center to Krinjoch. There the route joins directly below the summit of Schatzberg into MTB route 351 Schatzbergrunde. 1.5 h riding time.
From here continue right, following the forest road uphill. Pass below the mountain inn Schatzbergalm (refreshment option), continue to Gipfö Hit (refreshment option) then downhill to Gernalm. Via Grasingalm the forest path leads down past Talsalm on Aschbachweg back to the valley to Auffach. The route follows the main road downhill to Mühltal. In Mühltal, before the Mühltal bridge, turn left about 5 km towards Thierbach, then continue steeply uphill on asphalt over several hairpins. In the village Thierbach turn left after the church passing the school. The route then goes about 6 km on gravel uphill shortly past Außerkotkaseralm to the junction Krinjoch MTB 308. 3 h riding time MTB route 351.
MTB route 308 then leads again via the circular path downhill towards Sieglbichlhütte, past Pechalm on the Upper Höhenweg and from there back to Alpbach. Riding time about 30 minutes.

Parking | No long-term parking directly at the Alpbach tourism office. Parking possible at the village entrance by Spar (walk 5 - 10 min or about 3 - 5 min by bike to the tourism office). |
Equipment | Winter closure from 1.11 to 1.04 of the following year; all MTB routes and cycling paths are closed for safety reasons. There is no snow clearance service on these paths and many MTB routes are avalanche-prone. Depending on snow conditions, some routes may be closed for longer than until April 1.
