The 24h hike 2025 promises an adventure full of highlights: From July 12 to 13 the route takes you over four fascinating peaks and past idyllic alpine pastures. Breathtaking views at sunrise and sunset make this experience unforgettable.
Ready for a hike that moves body and soul? Your adventure starts at the Festhütte in Inneralpbach. From there the route leads along a forest road, past two idyllic retention ponds, uphill towards Wiedersberger Horn. For lunch the Gasthof Hornboden awaits you – the perfect spot for a first break before you reach the summit of Wiedersberger Horn at 2,127 m. Around 2 pm you will be rewarded with a spectacular view – having already covered the first 7 km and 1,100 meters of altitude.
In the afternoon it continues: Over the Loderstein at 1,830 m you hike to the Wildsauhütte, where coffee and cake await you. Refreshed, you continue your way over the Kerschbaumersattel and reach at about 6:30 pm the third summit, the Reither Kogel at 1,335 m. After 17 kilometers you have earned the title "mountain expert" rightfully!
But the adventure goes on: The descent into the valley is rewarded with a delicious dinner before you hike at dusk towards Pinzgerhof. Here you can expect a magical sunset overlooking the Inn valley and magnificent panoramas – accompanied by a small refreshment.
In the darkness the route passes romantic alpine pastures to the Holzalm, where a midnight snack awaits you. The highlight of the night is the sunrise on the Gratlspitze at 1,894 m – a moment worth all the effort.
After this special experience the hike continues: Over the Halbsbergalm and the Hösjoch you walk on the Upper Heights Trail to the Wurmalm. Here you should keep your smartphone ready, because the photo point offers one of the most beautiful views in the Alpbachtal. The last meters along the heights trail lead back to Inneralpbach, where a well-deserved breakfast awaits you. By now you know what it means to experience a real 24h hike.
