If you want to enjoy nature at the lake or spend a bathing day at the lake, then you are exactly right at Reintalersees in Kramsach. The newly created accessible path along the lake really offers everything your heart desires!

The path mostly runs on already existing trails. Priority, besides meeting accessibility requirements (slope, path width, cross slope, surface texture), was given to minimal impact on nature. Sections of the path were built as wooden boardwalks, small shoreline sections restored, unused path sections renaturalized and verge areas reforested.

Please note that this is not a circular route around the lake but a route from A to B. However, this is not a disadvantage; every visitor can decide for themselves which section to discover.

Our top recommendation for your day at the lake:

The path starts on the west side of Reintalersees in Kramsach and initially leads in flat, wide loops down to the lake. Here you will already find a first bench inviting you to linger. No worries, the slope is easily manageable with a wheelchair. You leave the barbecue area and the sunbathing area MU-Strand to the right and follow the path east toward the Fischerstube restaurant. You decide whether to stop there now or later.

The beautifully designed path continues to the sunbathing area Kohlerwiese. Here you have the option to go directly into the water with a wheelchair via a newly constructed ramp and swim from the end of the pier.

Now the east shore is explored. The wide path leads past Haflingerhof to the campsites. From here, you reach the well-marked path on the south shore of Reintalersees, which leads to a point. The view of the lake is, of course, indescribably beautiful from here too!

In a leisurely hour, you reach the south tip of Reintalersees from the West parking lot. The path returns the same way to the starting point.

Tip Movement Park:

Don't miss the accessible movement park at the starting point sunbathing area MU-Strand!

Distances along the route:

  • West parking lot - Fischerstube restaurant: 300 m
  • West parking lot - Kohlerwiese sunbathing area / ramp: 800 m
  • West parking lot - campsites: 2000 m
  • West parking lot - point at south shore: 3400 m

The accessible hiking path along Reintalersees was implemented as a LEADER project.
