The Brixlegg Christmas market highlight is the grand Christ Child procession  - enjoy the magic of mesmerised children and the contemplative atmosphere of this unique event! The Christ Child procession in Brixlegg has a long tradition (over 30 years) and some of the costumes worn by the participants date back to the Passion Play times. At approx. 5:00 p.m. the Christ Child with Mary and Joseph seated on a decorated carriage and accompanied by the ringing of the church bells solemnly parade through Brixlegg's streets. Groups of angels and biblical figures with shepherds and sheep creat an evocative atmosphere. The procession gathers below the Wörz Villa for the grand closing ceremony. Alphorn players play Christmas carols, shepherds warm themselves by the fire and the biblical family can be admired in the manger.
