Juppi’s Enchanted Forest

The Enchanted Forest: a magical place for the whole family, nestled between woods and meadows, framed by mountain peaks.

Your enchanting journey of discovery begins right at the Reitherkogelbahn top station. Various exciting, natural play areas await you along the buggy-friendly loop trail which, in addition to fun and games, also guarantees that your kids will have a good night’s sleep. While the youngest enter the magical world and discover the bewitched tree or the haunted marsh, you can relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air and alpine panorama on one of the loungers. Wonderful, such a time-out in the Alpbachtal!

Opening times: Juppi’s Enchanted Forest is open during the Reitherkogelbahn operating hours from May to October. Please note: the lift is closed on Wednesdays.

Tip: Admission to the Enchanted Forest is included in the price of the gondola ride. If you're staying overnight, you will receive the Alpbachtal Card when you check into your accommodation. The card includes plenty of discounts and services, such as free use of the Reitherkogelbahn.

We don't want to promise too much, but we regularly hear reports of spellbound children.

They are said to leave Juppi’s Enchanted Forest in remarkably well-behaved and in high spirits. The reasons are not known to us, but may have something to do with the following highlights:

• a fire station play area
• an enchanted village with lots of play areas
• a wobbly bridge
• a fun magic tree
• a haunted marsh with a mystical wooden wizard
• a bird’s nest swing
• a giant photo frame for selfies with a view of the Alpbachtal
• Juppi’s Enchanted Forest puzzle
• a petting zoo
• swing bowling
• a barefoot path
• Juppi’s water games

Tip: The leisurely circular hike becomes even more fun with our treasure map. The map shows all the play areas and best spots, such as our spectacular viewing platforms. Budding sorcerer's apprentices can collect stamps at each station, and are rewarded with a small surprise gift if they collect four stamps or more. You can pick up the gift at the lift bottom station or in the Alpbachtal tourist offices.

Ready for an adventure? Start your circular hike through the magical Juppi enchanted forest and discover the summit cross on the Reither Kogel!
This family-friendly tour starts in the picturesque flower village of Reith im Alpbachtal. The Reitherkogel mountain lift takes you comfortably to the top station, and from there the trail leads you through Juppi's Enchanted Forest. Simply follow the signs for ‘Reither Kogel’ and off you go: a short ascent through the forest takes you to the summit in approx. an hour. Once at the top, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Ziller and Inn Valleys and the Rofan Range. An experience for all ages!

Good to know: There are no mountain huts to stop at for refreshments along the trail, but you will find several picnic areas with tables and benches. Afterwards you can satisfy your hunger at the restaurant Liftcafe Heisn at the bottom station. While you relax on the lovely sun terrace, the kids can let off any remaining steam in the children's playground.

Family hike on the Reither Kogel

From July to September, Monday to Friday you can take part in the family programme free of charge. Experience a new family highlight every day. Meet our herb specialist Maria who will teach you all about local herbs, enjoy a barbecue at Lauserland or embark on a journey into the past at the Museum of Txrolean Farmhouses on the final day.
