Schatzberg - Riedalm Loop
Varied circular hike via Zottaalm, Schatzberg, and Hahnkopf with a stop at the Riedalm hut. A moderately difficult tour with stunning panoramic views, diverse nature, and a delicious culinary break along the way.
This circular route combines rustic alpine huts, sweeping vistas, and authentic Tyrolean culinary delights.
Starting from Alpbach, just above the “Oberthaler” snack station, the trail leads you to the unstaffed huts Zottaalm and Thaleralm – two charming spots perfect for a little break. You’ll then hike across scenic slopes up to the Schatzberg summit – where breathtaking views of the Kitzbühel Alps await you! The trail continues to Hahnkopf, passing a sparkling reservoir along the way. A little further down, the Riedalm snack station invites you to rest and refuel with regional delicacies and sunshine on the terrace.
The return path takes you past the unstaffed Pechalm and across flower-filled meadows back to Alpbach. This moderately difficult tour rewards you with peaceful alpine moments, unspoiled nature, and a true mountain experience.
