Bergadvent Alpbachtal

On December 21, 2025, the BERGADVENT ALPBACHTAL will take place for the first time between the mountain station of the Wiedersbergerhornbahn and the Gasthof Hornboden. From 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM, the area at the mountain station will be transformed into a deeply snowy, fairy-tale Advent world high above the valley. At an altitude of 1,850 meters, you can expect a romantic winter ambiance with Tyrolean Advent music and a contemplative atmosphere for young and old – easily accessible by the Wiedersbergerhornbahn.

Amid crackling bonfires and snow-covered peaks, brass players, door-knockers, a primary school class from Alpbach, the theater club, and a traditional music group will provide Christmas sounds at various locations. Another highlight includes the glowing LED walking acts that move across the grounds, as well as the photo station of the Alpbach mountain railways, where you can take a souvenir photo and download it for free.

The culinary aspects are also well catered for: Cheese dumplings from the Ski Club Alpbach, fresh Kiachln from the local women, and warm dishes from the mountain rescue service invite you to enjoy. The Kolberhof complements the offerings with regional specialties such as ham, cheese, and smoked sausages, while other stalls invite you to browse their handicrafts. In the Gasthof Hornboden, you can retreat to pleasant warmth, while mulled wine, punch, and hot chocolate at various stands create delightful moments in the winter mountain scenery.

For the little guests, there is a craft station in the warm area of the mountain station where they can get creative and make small keepsakes.

Not a crowded market, but a contemplative gathering in Tyrol's winter wonderland – heartfelt, atmospheric, and authentic. And who knows, perhaps you truly are a little closer to the Christ Child up here.
