Quote from Alpquell company: "Our employees are fascinated to be involved in the filling of water from their own source, which was officially recorded for the first time in 1611: the voice of nature! Our recipe for success: The dynamics of the water, which continuously emerges by its own power from the rocks, is our role model: the spring as a source of power that nourishes us all and nurtures trust and cohesion!"
The route
The easy bike route starts in St. Gertraudi, a district of Reith in the Alpbach valley. Along the Innradweg past old castles, beautiful meadows and fields, the cycle path leads directly to Brixlegg. Past the bike stop with a unique panoramic view of the Rofan mountains, Austria's smallest town Rattenberg awaits its visitors. The cozy resting benches along the route practically invite you to take a short break. The route then continues through the sunny village of Radfeld along the Inn to Kundl. On the return journey, we recommend the same route so that you can take a closer look at one of the excursion destinations.
Excursion destinations and highlights along the route
Either on the outbound or return journey, there are numerous opportunities to spend an unforgettable day. These are the highlights:
- Kundler Klamm: At the end of the route awaits the Kundler Klamm. Splashing in the water, collecting stones, or simply dangling your feet in the creek. From the entrance of the gorge to the Gasthaus Kundler Klamm it is only 10 minutes on foot. There is also a playground at the gorge entrance.
- Rattenberg: The historic small town lies directly on the Inn and offers its visitors, in addition to cultural highlights like the Augustinian museum, city parish church, or the castle ruins on the Schlossberg, also delicious culinary treats. Enjoy a homemade ice cream from one of the patisseries and stroll through the glass town.
- Brixlegg: Since you now know that successful companies have found their home in this town, you can delve deeper into the region's history at the Tyrolean Mining and Metallurgy Museum. Or you can visit one of the excellent restaurants or pay a visit to "Messner," a general store.
- Schlosspark Matzen: The picturesque castle park is one of the most beautiful and valuable cultural landscapes in Tyrol. A view of the castle or one of the ponds remains a lasting memory.
We wish you an inspiring bike passage on a section of the Tyrolean Innradweg.
