Postalm from Kramsach
Hike from Kramsach past the power spots "Hilaribergl", "Kaltes Wasserl" and "Herrgottstein" to the Postalm. You will be rewarded with a breathtaking view.
The hike starts directly at the parking lot of the high ropes course or the fitness trail Kramsach. We leave the stations of the fitness trail to the left and walk leisurely through the forest to the Hilaribergl monastery. You reach the first power spot, where you should definitely pause briefly, after about 20 minutes of walking. The monastery gate is usually open and allows a view of the sacred place.
Continue along a forest path uphill to the well-known spring of Kramsach, the "Kaltwasserbründl" (Kaltes Wasserl fountain). This idyllic place is reached after another 45 minutes of walking. The rest area with fountain and bench invites you to linger.
After a short break, we walk about 20 minutes further to the "Herrgottstein". The large stone with cross and resting possibilities is unmistakable and it is up to you whether you want to spend some time here or continue the hike.
From the signpost at the forest path, take the left path uphill, approx. 150 m on a trail to the bridge over the Habacher Bach. After that, it’s only 250 m to the Postalm. The Postalm is located on a large plateau with a wonderful view.
Total walking time to the Postalm: 1 hour 45 minutes.
Return goes back to Kaltes Wasserl on the same path. From there, the circular route follows a forest path back to the valley station of the former Sonnwendjochbahn and back to the parking lot.
NOTE: The Postalm is not serviced! Use the dining option at the Liftstüberl Kramsach directly at the parking lot!
